Today we:
"In morning work we did our prairie nouns."
"In math we had a test and none of us failed but one person got a 4 but it is a mystery."
"In social studies we talked about the Blackfoot Nation and you had a choice if you could doodle notes while we learned or you could sit and listen. I did not finish my test." (But that's okay - Mrs. Dong)
"When it was reading time the library was closed there was no library today. It was closed but I do not know why."
"For the test I am scared that I made a mistake and got Tim and Karen mixed up!"
We had a test in math today! Everyone did well with 2 or 3 and even a couple of 4's . After the test we talked about "test stress" and strategies to deal with it. For example:
- If you come to a question you don't understand skip it and come back to it later.
- Breath!
- Focus on doing a really good job on the parts you do know instead worrying about the parts you are not sure of.
- Mrs. Dong failed her first driver's test when she hit a pedestrian (not hard, it was a tap) and she was fine. It is okay to make mistakes just try again later.
I asked the students if they wanted me to upload a copy of the test. They refused.
