Collect items for new Design Challenge

We have begun a new science unit studying "Hot and Cold". On November 13th, students will begin participating in a new design task where they will explore the property of insulation. Students will be asked to design a device that insulates an ice cube, keeping it as frozen as possible for a day. Their devices should utilize materials that are good insulators. Students will be expected to explain how their device works, as well as why they chose the materials they used.

Please begin collecting items your child would like to use to build their insulating device. You can send them to school on November 13th. This is when we will begin designing. Please enclose items in a bag or box labelled with your child's name. Thank you for your support with this project.
