September 11th

- We had our first library day today! Students picked out one library book to keep in their desks for this week. Soon we will take out two library books, one for school, and one for home. Stay tuned!
- "When we picked our books, we read them, then scanned our library card, then put our cards in our chart."
- "We read Scaredy Squirrel in class, and some people took that book from the library because it was new."

Some other fun things from today:
"We did patterns today. Some people found so many patterns they had to keep them in their minds."
"Some people wrote and labelled their patterns."
"We did a new song in music, called 'A Monster on the Mountain Top'!"
"We learned about the north and south poles on the magnets. We learned N and N pushes away, S and S pushes away, N and S pull together."
"I tried to push and pull with normal magnets and it still worked!"

Please see the school website about our Meet the Teacher night and our school BBQ, this Thursday! The BBQ is 5:30-6:30pm, and then come to our classroom for 6:30-7:00 OR 7:00-7:30. Hope to see you there!
