Build!:Thurs.Oct 3rd
Students are bringing home their “Design Blueprint” this Thursday for the toy or game they are going to build using magnetism. We will have created our own individual materials list. Please send these items to school with your child on Thursday October 3rd. We will be building our creations on that day! I will have many items on hand for students to use, including: magnets, tape, glue sticks, glue guns, cardboard, staplers, brad fasteners, a variety of small metal objects, plastic snap cubes and more.
We will be taking pictures of these creations, but as the magnets belong to the school, projects will not be sent home. If you would like to provide magnets for this project, creations can be sent home.
Students will be encouraged to use the magnetism vocabulary and concepts we have practiced throughout our September explorations (magnetic field, strength, repel/push away, attract/pull together, north pole and south pole, magnetic/non-magnetic).
