Toonie for Terry

Hawkwood is very pleased to announce our annual Terry Fox run will be help again this year. This year our run will be held on Friday September 27th. We will be kicking off the run with an assembly which will be hosted by Mr. Wilson’s class. We are very fortunate this year to have a cancer survivor who is also a cancer pathologist as our guest speaker. Her name is Kelly Guggisberg. The assembly will begin at 10 AM. As in other years we are asking for all teachers to set up an old running shoe in their classrooms so that the students can bring in a toonie for Terry and put in in the shoe as part of our fundraising in the fight against cancer. The running shoe will then be brought to the gym and placed on the stage at the assembly.

After the assembly Hawkwood School will run together to try and reach our goal of finishing Terry Fox's run.
